• 1851 - Foundation of parent company M&R de Monchy N.V. as an international trading company in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
• 1919 - Foundation of De Winter & Konijn B.V. as an international trading company in foodstuffs.
• 1980 - Foundation of Rhumveld B.V. as an independent broker in edible nuts and dried fruits.
• 1990 - Merger between De Winter & Konijn B.V. and Rhumveld B.V.
• 1991 - Acquisition of the company by M&R de Monchy N.V.
• 1996 - Change of office address to the Rotterdam area.
• 1997 - Extension of the assortment with seeds and ricecrackers.
• 1998 - ISO-9002 and HACCP certification.
• 1998 - Extension of assortment with organic ingredients (SKAL certification)
